The Global South Animals Alliance may raise appeals to support efforts by our Partner regional networks or Member Organizations of the Global South.

For example the recent Ban Live Exports campaign raised a letter to the WOAH (World Organisation for Animal Health) to ask for consultation on the current draft of the new ‘Animal welfare during transport’ chapter. We called for standards to be strengthened in line with animal welfare science, as a step towards ending the long-distance transport of animals. This appeal, instigated by Compassion in World Farming was then circulated via the GSA Alliance for more organizations to sign on in support.

In future GSAA appeals hope to address various issues facing animals across the Global South such as the Donkey Skin Trade, Live Animal Exports, Mass Dog Culls, Policy change and more. Join us to unite our movment!
